Program for Immigrants and Visible Minorities

Is this your first time seeking work in your field in North America? If you are eligible for the Employment Integration Program for Immigrants and Visible Minorities (PRIIME), your future employer could receive financial assistance covering:

1. a portion of your wages (excluding social benefits) for a maximum of 30 weeks, to enable you gain work experience;
2. the wages paid to the person responsible for accompanying you for the first 13 weeks, up to a maximum of 60 hours;
3. the creation of specific activities or the adaptation of his or her human resource management tools;
4. expenditures incurred directly to train you and adapt your skills to the North American workplace, up to a maximum of 60 hours of training.

You are eligible if

• you have no prior work experience in your field in Québec.

and

• you have been a permanent resident of Canada for less than two years;

or

• you are a member of a visible minority.
